This event combines the urgency of blood donation with the empowerment of heart health education, specifically addressing the needs of the community. We are spotlighting Power Red Blood Donations—a critical type of donation that can provide more red cells for patients in need, especially those battling sickle cell disease.

Why It Matters

Sickle cell disease disproportionately affects African Americans, and consistent blood donations from people of similar backgrounds help improve patient outcomes. At the same time, heart disease remains a leading cause of death among Black Americans. We're here to change that—together.
