The Forest Hill Library District (operating as the Forest Hill Public Library) is a local government entity established by voter approval in 1999 under Local Government Code Chapter 326. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, elected at-large by voters within the City of Forest Hill.

To file as a candidate, you must:

  • βœ” Be a U.S. citizen
  • βœ” Be 18 years or older on the first day of the term
  • βœ” Not have been declared mentally incompetent by a final court judgment
  • βœ” Not have been convicted of a felony (unless pardoned or having rights restored)
  • βœ” Have lived in Texas for at least 12 months before election day
  • βœ” Have lived in the City of Forest Hill for at least 12 months before election day
  • βœ” Be a registered voter within Forest Hill

Filing Deadlines & Election Calendar

Visit the Texas Secretary of State for official dates and requirements.

Ballot Order Drawing

Held 15 minutes after the filing window closes at the library.
A neutral third party conducts a random drawing to determine ballot order.
Candidates are encouraged to attend.

🎯 Voting Information

All voter registration, early voting, and Election Day operations are run by Tarrant County Elections.

Voting takes place at designated polling locations within the City of Forest Hill.
