General Election & Candidate Information
The Forest Hill Library District (operating as the Forest Hill Public Library) is a local government entity established by voter approval in 1999 under Local Government Code Chapter 326. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, elected at-large by voters within the City of Forest Hill.

π§Ύ Trustee Candidate Eligibility
To file as a candidate, you must:
- β Be a U.S. citizen
- β Be 18 years or older on the first day of the term
- β Not have been declared mentally incompetent by a final court judgment
- β Not have been convicted of a felony (unless pardoned or having rights restored)
- β Have lived in Texas for at least 12 months before election day
- β Have lived in the City of Forest Hill for at least 12 months before election day
- β Be a registered voter within Forest Hill

Filing Deadlines & Election Calendar
Visit the Texas Secretary of State for official dates and requirements.
Ballot Order Drawing
Held 15 minutes after the filing window closes at the library.
A neutral third party conducts a random drawing to determine ballot order.
Candidates are encouraged to attend.

All voter registration, early voting, and Election Day operations are run by Tarrant County Elections.
Voting takes place at designated polling locations within the City of Forest Hill.
