A Bold New Chapter Begins—And You’re a Part of It!

🌟 Who We Are

The Forest Hill Library District is:

❌ NOT part of the City of Forest Hill
❌ NOT a nonprofit organization
✅ A Special-Purpose District, funded by 0.25% of Forest Hill sales tax

This unique designation means that:

By law, we cannot participate in a bond election
We must fund 100% of our library expansion through donations, grants, and fundraising efforts
✅ Your taxes will NOT go up

📈 Why We Must Expand

Since opening in 2008, our library has seen exponential growth in:

Program attendance
Library visits
Item circulation
Community services

Yet, our building has remained the same size—just 7,700 sq ft.

With Forest Hill’s population on the rise, this is the right time to expand.
