A Chicago native now residing in Fort Worth, TX, she is the devoted wife of Pastor C. R. Smith of Thy Word MB Church, a loving bonus mom to three adult children, and a proud grandmother.
Her author journey began with the song Pour into Me by Atmosphere of Heaven, which ignited her mission to empower women to live with authenticity, gratitude, balance, and purpose. To date, she has written six transformative books, including the best-selling A 21-Day Gratitude Journal for Busy Women, a guide designed to help women reconnect, reimagine, and redefine their lives.
Yolanda’s work and story have been featured in Shoutout DFW, VoyageDallas, and on the Hello Mansfield Media TV Show. Beyond her writing, she shares her expertise through self-publishing classes for the 55+ Senior Program at Tarrant County College – Southeast Campus, encouraging others to share their own voices and stories.
When she’s not writing or speaking, Yolanda cherishes quality time with family and friends, enjoys spa days, board games, and exploring her creative passions. Her life’s work continues to inspire women to embrace gratitude and lead lives of intentional joy.
