Dr. Mark A. Pullam – Early Literacy & Parenting

Dr. Mark A. Pullam is an accomplished scholar, dedicated leader, and talented musician whose life reflects perseverance, service, and a passion for lifelong learning. A native of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, Dr. Pullam has excelled in academics, athletics, music, and professional leadership, leaving a meaningful impact across each arena.

A proud alumnus of Lindenwood University, where he played both football and basketball, Dr. Pullam earned his bachelor’s degree in December 1994. He went on to receive an MBA in Management from the University of Phoenix (2006), an EdS in Higher Education from Walden University (2013), and most recently an EdD in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University. His academic journey is a testament to his resilience and determination, balancing rigorous studies, professional commitments, and family life with grace and discipline.

With more than 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Pullam has served in senior leadership roles across higher education and corporate America. He was the Director of University Relations at Fidelity Investments, overseeing new graduate hires across five states, and previously held campus president positions with ITT Technical Institute and National American University. Currently, he inspires the next generation as an adjunct professor at both Tarrant County College District and Colorado Technical University, where he is committed to student success and academic excellence.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Pullam finds joy in family, fitness, and music. He and his wife of 22 years are the proud parents of two sons. A lifelong musician, he plays with the band Intense Music and is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated (Theta Alpha Chapter, Dallas). His journey embodies dedication, leadership, and balance—making him a powerful role model for students, colleagues, and the community alike.
