Raquel McFadden, Vice President, FH Library District Board of Trustees | Community Advocate

Raquel McFadden serves as Vice President of the Forest Hill Library District Board of Trustees and is a passionate advocate for education, families, and community development. With more than 30 years of experience as a Social Worker, she has dedicated her life to supporting children and strengthening families through compassion-centered service and leadership.

Now in her fourth year on the Board, Ms. McFadden plays an instrumental role in guiding library initiatives, supporting the proposed library expansion, and partnering closely with Executive Director Michael Hardrick and his professional team. She believes deeply in the library as a place of opportunity, connection, and growth — a space that serves as the heart of the Forest Hill community.

A devoted reader who enjoys the outdoors and values time with her family, Ms. McFadden leads by example, guided by her personal motto: “Always begin the day with kindness and respect.” Her service reflects a commitment to uplifting others and ensuring the library continues to thrive for generations to come.
