Yolanda Wilson Smith | Early Literacy

Yolanda Wilson Smith is an inspirational speaker, author, and passionate advocate for literacy and intentional living. A Chicago native now residing in Fort Worth, Texas, Yolanda is the author of several transformative books, including her best-selling A 21-Day Gratitude Journal for Busy Women. Her work centers on empowering individuals—especially women and families—to embrace gratitude, purpose, and personal growth.
For the second consecutive year, Yolanda is partnering with the Forest Hill Library District as a participant in the Family Place Workshop, supporting early literacy and family engagement. Through storytelling, encouragement, and meaningful interaction with parents and young children, she helps promote the importance of early learning and building strong literacy foundations at home.
In addition to writing and speaking, Yolanda also teaches self-publishing classes for the 55+ Senior Program at Tarrant County College – Southeast Campus, helping others bring their stories to life. Her commitment to education, community connection, and lifelong learning continues to inspire families across the region.
