                             COMMUNITY ROOM POLICY
The Friends of the Library Community Room in the Forest Hill Library District is primarily used for Library programs and events that promote services in the Forest Hill and Everman Communities. When the community room is not in use by the Library the room is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to groups and organizations as specified in this document. Use of the Library's community room does not constitute the Library endorsement or approval of viewpoints expressed by participants using the room. Advertisements or announcements implying such endorsement are not permitted. The community room of the

Forest Hill Library District is designed to meet general informational, educational,  cultural, and civic purposes. Under the following guidelines, the library community room is available at times that do not conflict with the daily operations of the library.


Payment of a $50.00 room reservation fee for up to two hours will be due at the time of application.

After two hours a fee of $20.00 will be added for each additional hour.


Payments can be made by Cash, Check, or Card. Room must be reserved at least 7 days before the event, and no more than 60 days before the event. No refunds will be given for an event canceled less than 2 business days before the event to be held.

The Community Room is open to the public when not reserved. Meetings and events need not be open to the general public.
No admission is charged for those attending the meeting
Online reservations must be completed and electronically signed by an adult, 18 or older, representing the group requesting use of the meeting room.
Soliciting, direct marketing, or actively selling items or services is strictly
prohibited. Fund-raising activities or events are also prohibited, with the exception of those directly benefiting the Library.
Decorations shall be freestanding and fireproof.
No candles or open flames permitted.
No push pins or tacks, staples can be used on the walls.
No cooking allowed
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted
The user will be responsible for any damages while in use. (ex: floor, wall, or window
damages) at the current market rate for such repairs.
Maximum room occupancy is 45.

ACCEPTABLE USAGE OF THE LIBRARY'S COMMUNITY ROOM INCLUDES:
Library-sponsored activities and programs
Organizational programs, events, and meetings
Civic, cultural, educational, and informational programs
Meet the author and book signing sponsored by the library
Bridal/Baby Showers and Birthday Parties
