When I first stepped foot into the Forest Hill Public Library in July of 2024, I was met by a welcoming smile and offered help immediately.  I had become a widow four months prior and was dealing with a lot of personal matters and needed help navigating the computers. Willie and the other librarians were so helpful and told me about a school supply giveaway and invited me to come back. I did and I was hooked!

This library has been such a blessing to me and my family. My kiddos love the friendly staff and all the hard work they do putting together events and activities. From carnival games, prizes, arts and crafts, to movie nights, haunted houses, and even events for the adults. There's something for everyone and that is just barely scratching the surface of what they have to offer. We have been so welcomed at FHPL during such a difficult season of our life that it quickly became a safe haven for us.

We are so grateful and truly love it here. I am also amazed with how much the FHPL does for the community and they have an amazing podcast worth checking out that highlights so many beautiful stories from people of all walks of life!

They're not afraid to talk about difficult and emotional topics and don't shy away from honoring God as well. Even speaking scripture and giving thanks and recognition to our Creator. That's not something I've ever seen before in this type of setting!

Thank you doesn't seem to be enough to express the gratitude we have for stumbling across this amazing library. The best in the metroplex! Thank you, truly, for everything.
