Executive Director &  2025 Librarian of the Year

It’s safe to say Michael Hardrick knows a thing or two about libraries—he’s been serving in library services for over 16 years and counting.

As a true hands-on Director, it’s not unusual to spot him helping patrons with copy requests, printing needs, or finding just the right book on the shelf. When it comes to day-to-day operations and behind-the-scenes strategy, Michael is the driving force behind better programming, stronger community partnerships, and expanding access to resources tailored specifically for the Forest Hill community.

In 2025, Michael was honored as Librarian of the Year by the Small Community Libraries Round Table, a distinguished group within the Texas Library Association—a recognition that speaks to his leadership, vision, and unwavering dedication.

Outside the library, Michael and his wife Tamara (both educators) are busy raising their two energetic boys. The family shares a love for traveling, learning, and making memories together.
